Honed black granite is a high-density natural stone that has been processed with coarse abrasives to create a smooth, non-reflective matte surface. Unlike its polished counterpart, which has a mirror-like shine, honed granite offers a more organic, “satin” or velvety appearance that is increasingly popular for contemporary interior designs.
Appearance and Texture
- Colour Profile: While the base stone is deep black, the honing process typically lightens it to a rich charcoal or dark grey hue.
- Finish: It has a “flat” or low-sheen look that prevents glare, making it ideal for well-lit rooms or outdoor spaces.
