Bianco Carrara CD marble is a natural stone sourced from the Apuan Alps in the Carrara region of Italy. It is graded at the quarry as “CD” (Commercial/Domestic quality), which means it has a slightly greyer background compared to the “C” grade which is whiter.
Aesthetic: It features a soft grey background with fine to medium, thin, and feathered grey veining.
Applications: Due to its durability and elegant appearance, it is a popular choice for kitchen worktops, bathroom vanities, wall and floor tiles, fireplace surrounds, and more, in both residential and commercial projects.
Finishes: It is available in various finishes, including polished, honed (matt), leathered, bush-hammered, and more.
Properties: According to Worktop Library, it is a dense, hardwearing material, resistant to high heat, but, as a natural, porous stone, it requires sealing to protect against stains and etching from acidic substances.
