- Background: The base is typically a bright, milky white to creamy ivory.
- Veining: Characterized by soft, sinuous strokes that range in color from pale grey and taupe to delicate moss green or even subtle hints of gold.
- Texture: Often described as having a “cloud-like” or “brecciated” appearance where white clasts appear suspended in a light background.
- Origin: It is quarried in the Apuan Alps near Carrara, Italy, the same region famous for producing high-end Statuario and Carrara marble.
