In stock

Crema Marfil is one of the most famous and globally recognized natural stones, quarried extensively in the Mount El Pinos region of Pinoso, Alicante, Spain. It is a highly versatile and popular marble, celebrated for its warm, uniform, creamy appearance and subtle, classic elegance that brightens any space.
Appearance and Physical Properties
  • Colour: The primary feature is its consistent warm beige or cream colour. The shade can vary from a light, pale cream to a deeper golden beige, and these variations are typically categorized by grade (e.g., StandardSelectCommercial).
  • Veining/Pattern: It typically has a subtle, fine grain with occasional, delicate veins in softer tones of gold, yellow, or cinnamon, along with minor variations in tone and some crystallization. This understated pattern makes it highly adaptable to various design schemes.
  • Origin: Sourced exclusively from Spain, it is one of the world’s largest production marbles, ensuring consistent availability.
  • Finish: Crema Marfil is incredibly versatile and is available in many finishes, including a high-polish that enhances its natural warmth, honed (matte), brushed, sandblasted, and tumbled, allowing for diverse applications and aesthetic choices.
  • Durability and Care: As a natural marble, it is a durable choice for many indoor applications. Like all marbles, it is porous and benefits from regular sealing to protect it from stains. It is a classic, enduring material when properly maintained.
Recommended Applications
The neutral and warm tones of Crema Marfil make it an ideal choice for large-scale projects and for creating a seamless, uniform look throughout a property.
  • Flooring and Walls: It is a ubiquitous choice for interior flooring (hallways, living rooms, lobbies) and wall cladding in both residential and commercial spaces. Its light colour helps to make rooms feel larger and brighter.
  • Bathrooms: It is widely used for bathroom vanities, shower walls, and bath surrounds, creating a luxurious, spa-like atmosphere.
  • Architectural Elements: The stone is also used for intricate carvings, columns, stairs, window sills, and custom fireplace surrounds, where its workability is a major advantage.
  • Design Versatility: Its neutral palette makes it a superb complementary material to more dramatic stones like dark granites or colourful marbles, and it works well with both modern and traditional design styles
