Cotswold Farmhouse New Build
Stone Selection - Living Spaces
The layout of the ground floor was partly open plan and the client wanted to create a natural flow between these rooms. Stone Age suggested Basse Beige limestone throughout. This is a hard-wearing stone, fairly unifom in colour with warm mottling.
Black Riven Slate was chosen for the master ensuite bathroom to create a clean, contemporary, monochrome space. Black Slate tiles were used for the floor and various different sizes creates interest on the walls. For a textural contrast, Black Slate strips were used along the rear wall of the shower.
Black Slate was cut-to-size for the white bath surround with a honed finish and bevelled edge and a Slate plinth houses the double white free standing basins.
Family Bathroom and Guest Ensuite
In the family bathroom and for the guest ensuite, practicality was important so a hard-wearing and low-maintenance porcelain was chosen. Villa Grigio in large rectangular format delivers a contemporary feel in crisp grey tones with some speckle.
