Classic Flooring Styles
We first visited Chatsworth many years ago and were completely blown away by the scale and intricate detail of the floors there. Home to one of the finest geometric patterned floors we’ve ever seen – Chatsworth features a remarkable library floor that was the inspiration for the striking black and white floor in our Parson’s Green London showroom.

At Stone Age, the Chatsworth-inspired style of flooring has never fallen out of fashion. The effect is formed by creating a uniform pattern across the floor using monochrome tiles. At Parsons Green we used Belgian Fossil Stone and Pietra Plana Extra (PPX) limestone - both are versatile and extremely hardwearing - perfect for everyday living. Remember too that if you really want to experience the true Chatsworth feel underfoot, then opt for an aged and antiqued effect known as a ‘cottage finish’ as this will replicate the textured finish of the floor tiles found in the library.

Tune in to series two of Peaky Blinders to see this magnificent floor, or why not come and see it in-situ at our Parson’s Green showroom.
